How it Works
To help you quit using tobacco, the BC Lung Association, manager of QuitNow Services, is offering you a chance to win if you stay tobacco-free from January 5, 2010 through and including February 2, 2010.
To be eligible you must be a BC resident, aged 19 or older on January 4, 2010 and have used tobacco (cigarettes, cigars, pipes, chewing tobacco) on a daily basis for at least one year. You may have quit smoking as early as May 1, 2009 and must remain tobacco-free for the contest quit period January 5, 2010 through and including February 2, 2010.
Here is how it works:
1. Find a Quit Support Buddy
Find a friend you can count on for support and encouragement on your commitment to quit. Plus, if you win, your friend can win too!
*Note: To enter, you will need the following information about your support buddy: Name, date or birth, address, phone, email.
2. Register
Register before 11:59pm on January 4, 2010 (PST). Only one entry per person is permitted.
Register by December 16, 2009 at 11:59pm to be eligible for an Early Bird prize. Five winners will have the chance to win gift cards valued at $100.
3. Quit
Quit using tobacco from January 5, 2010 through February 2, 2010 for your chance to win! For FREE help to quit, call QuitNow By Phone at 1-877-455-2233 or visit quitnow.ca.
And the winners are...
Potential winners will be selected on or close to February 3, 2010, and asked to verify their tobacco-free status through a urine test and a carbon monoxide breathalyzer.
Important Notice: Your FREE Quit Kit!
To help you stay tobacco-free, QuitNow Services has partnered with pharmacies in the following stores to distribute free quit kits (Save-on-Foods / Cooper Foods / Price Smart / Overwaitea Foods / Urban Fare). The quit kit has a variety of items to help you quit smoking and will be available starting November 23, 2009.
To obtain a quit kit, print the contest entry confirmation email and bring it to a participating pharmacy. Supplies are limited so act quickly. To access a Quit Kit in your area, download this list of BC pharmacies distributing Quit Kits.
