Good contest idea, so thanks casperinbc. I'll watch for everyone's comments. Nature's Gate Deodorant Did you know that the aluminum in antiperspirants causes stubborn yellow armpit stains? Switch out your current deodorant for this paraben- and aluminum-free one to keep your underarms smelling fresh and your shirts spotless. $5.99 Natures-gate.com
I have always been frustrated by aluminum in antiperspirants - so I might just give this one a try -- but, if anyone has any other suggestions, let me know. Is 5.99 a reasonable price for a non-aluminum deodorant....I usually just stick to "my usual"

Your very welcome Postanon. I did not realize there is aluminum in deodorant and now hearing this I would like to try the natural one. I think $5.99 is a bit pricey but I always buy my deodorant on sale. As for the prices of natural deodorants hopefully other members might know what the average price is.

Great blog topic/contest, Liz
There is aluminum in anti-perspirant but not in deodorant (at least that's what I've been told).
I haven't tried the Organix Acai Berry Avocado shampoo but I have tried their Coconut shampoo....it is very nice....made my hair soft, gave it some volume and smelled great. Hubby kept commenting on how much the scent made him think of Florida every time he smelled my hair, lol. I bought it 'cause it came with a MIR, so I figured I couldn't lose. I would actually buy it again.
As for the St. Ives Green Tea Scrub, I'd like to try it. Any of the St. Ives' products I've tried in the past have always been good in my opinion.

I haven't specifically tried Maybelline Lasting Drama 24-hr Gel Eyeliner but I have used other gel and creme eyeliners and I by far prefer this type of eyeliner to a pencil or liquid eyeliner. The precision you get applying eyeliner with a brush can't be beat. Just make sure you invest in a high quality angled eyeliner brush! It's so much easier to get the look you want with gel/creme eyeliner - soft and natural or bold and dramatic.

Very interesting info Shayna as I only use a pencil. You really have me interested in the Avon Mineral Powder and gel eyeliner now Thanks for commenting

Hmm there is a bunch that are interesting. Aussie Conditioner, Milani bronzer (love the container), St. Ives scrub (already use), the shampoo if it doesn't have parabens. Definitely want to try the eyeliner. I saw reviews of the eyeliner on YT & almost all of it is positive. Especially the price because most cost double. I haven't used gel but want to try it. I hear it is easier & has more staying power. I didn't know you could do a soft line with gel...how do you do that? How do you use gel? I still need practice with liquid. I think Joe Fresh make up should be added to the list.

This past year my Mom and I cleared out all my bathroom cupboards. I was embarrassed about how many open and unopened bottles of shampoo, conditioner, cosmetics, body lotion etc, etc there were! I threw out all the open bottles, and anything I didn't recognise as "recent". So, perhaps from me to all of you a reminder to throw out old cosmetics, lotions, and "stuff"....any of you get stuck in the trap I do - buy it, use it once or twice, and forget it?
But now that I've cleared out.... I think I'll try the St Ives scrub, Sugerless20 - you use it - do you use the Green tea one, or something else? I'm with you Handler, all the other St Ives products I've tried I've liked.

I just won a bunch of Maybelline cosmetics and the Maybelline Lasting Drama 24-hr Gel Eyeliner and a brush was part of the package. I looked at it and thought, OMG, how the heck am I going to put this on. I thought it would be horrible.
But not at all, this stuff is fantastic. I love it. And it doesnt seem to run. I will not go back to using a pencil ever again as long as this stuff is around.

A lot of these products look great. I'm interested in trying the Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara (but won't buy it right away - I expect to get a free mascara from Sephora soon). I already use a gel eyeliner and love it - but will definitely try the Maybelline one since the price is so good. The St. Ives scrub is also on my list - I just got coupons in the mail so it's an extra good deal!

Wow great post!! I love the CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara though that company is sadly not on PETA's "good" list. I wish they were because apart from Bare Escentuals BUXOM Lash, this is my FAVOURITE mascara. Let's put it this way, my partner once said to me "OMG what did you do to your lashes? They are so long!" And I was wearing that mascara.
I have an Organix conditioner but it's the Tea Tree one, I don't find that it conditions my hair the way I want it to but I admit that I am really picky with hair products. I have coloured fine hair so i suppose it would depend on yours.
I use Kiss my Face deodorant (also free of alum). It doesn't work as well as others but that's the price you pay for having an alum free deodorant. I do have Nature's Gate conditioner and quite like that one.
St-Yves and Freeman have nice products. Haven't tried what you posted but I have tried their other stuff. The green tea scrub looks great, I might try that one to replace my expensive Kiehl's one (which I have been hesitant to replace because it's so good)
GREAT POST! THANKS!

Oh, if you guys want a nice bronzer that is "cruelty free", I use the Bonne Bell one for my face and can be used for the body. It's about $6 and really nice.
Eyeliner? I use Urban Decay's 24/7 liner. Sephora.com has a kit on sale right now for $20 with 4 mini liners and a glitter liner which is amazing. All cruelty free, no animal testing .
My FAVOURITE face mask by far is the Kiehl's Algae one. My face has never ever felt so smooth and even my partner said it to me once he felt my skin. It's expensive but I use it once every 10 days-2weeks and i've had it since October. You don't need much. I also hear that PurMinerals makes the best mask. People claim that it vaccums the skin. LOL
